We are often asked how you can report concerns about drugs in your community. It’s recently been raised in some of the local neighbourhood meetings here in North Norfolk so we thought we’d share your options here. The important message is that we do want to know about your concerns. It may seem like things are repeatedly reported and nothing is done but please be assured that a lot of the work for reports like these goes on behind the scenes and you may not see the obvious signs of this. You can report crimes and anti-social behaviour (ASB) to us quickly and easily through our website www.Norfolk.police.uk. This only takes a few minutes and will guide you through the steps to tell you whether something is ASB or if it could be considered a crime. These reports are looked at by the same people who answer your 101 and 999 calls. Please do report incidents when they happen and keep reporting if more incidents occur as the more evidence and information we have, the better we are able to deal with them. You can call us on 101 to report something that is not an emergency. These lines do get very busy and there can be a wait so if you are able to report online instead that may be easier for you. If someone is in immediate danger then always call 999. If you would like to report something but want to do it anonymously you can use Crimestoppers. They can take calls on 0800 555 111 or you can report online at Crimestoppers-uk.org On issues like this we work in partnership with councils and housing associations so you are welcome to speak to them but they are likely to suggest that you report concerns to police. | ||||
